Bov (4559), Bienne, Switzerland May 5, 2008 pours a dark black colour with a fast vanishing foam; strong aroma of coffee with notes of vanilla; sweet and full-bodied, fair and subtle carbonation; long coffeeish, mocha finish - a great dessert beer though quite one-dimensional

aftertaste is full of chocolate and coffee too SubCapt (22), Switzerland May 14, 2008 Jet black, fine beige head, subdued carbonation. Intense fresh coffee in the nose, on a rich cocoa and vanilla base. Smooth palate, espresso dominating again, but on a velvety, rich cocoa / dark chocolate foundation. Long cappucino finish wih lingering vanilla and a crisp espreso edge. Hides splendidly its, 7.5% ABV. Not a session beer, will work fine as a dessert beer (try it with tiramisù or chocolate brownies), but its cordial, reviving qulity means it’ll work fine on its own, albeit in smaller quantites.
