sampled at the Solothurner Biertage 2007 - very dark brown colour with a little beige/brown head; nougat and alcohol, toasted with peppery notes; low carbonation and slightly oily; medium to full malt body; very bitter with notes of alcohol, coffee and chocolate; dry - very good
