(Rating #2737)

Bottle from a trade with Boutip. Pours amber color with off white head. Spicy aroma with some raspberry. Sweet raspberry flavor with bready yeast and spices. Light to medium body with lively carbonation. Thanks Phil.

Bottle… Mostly clear, dirty orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is an earthy medley of licorice, herbs and roots. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is tangy and sweet; herbal and fruity. Short, crisp, mildly acidic finish. Bottle provided by smith4498!

My Bottom Line:
This tart and fruity Saison ably balances its raspberries to its inherent rustic character, as tickling wilderness increases the impression of refreshment.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the cloudy dullish pink.
-The cereals offer straw-like flavors as well.
-Carbonation is quite faint for the style.
-The aroma is subdued, but the flavor profile is engaging.
-Bready yeast tones add depth.

Bottle.

Bottle 750 ml
Appearance: thick, raspberry jam look , chunky floaters at bottom, fizzy top. .
Nose: mild funkiness, fruity – raspberry with some sourness. Interesting.
Flavor/Palate : raspberry sweets with thinner base, lip smacking sugar . Interesting concept if planned. Not to my liking.

Thanks Lubiere. A unique saison that is sometimes tame rasberry tartness, and other times quite tart.Jelly in a saison sandwich. Reddish tinge with lace and spidery, and fruity. This would appeal to men and to ladies, a rare unisex beer. Rising carbonation. Sweetishm ut not overally so. Taste of the real fruit with significant white pepper.

Thanks to Bov for this one. Steady slightly ruby amber pour with decent head on first pour. Souring berry notes come right off and there are some light biscuity touches as well. Oak funked out vanilla beans too. The flavor is quite sweet berry fruity upon tastebud impact but almost immediately shifts to a more traditional array of saison flavors, almost grassy, oaky biscuit. Lingering finish provides a champagne like sparkle and slightly puckering acidity.

750ml bottle, slight cloudy dark amber hue, with a beige head, yeasty, fruity, wheaty, toasty malt nose, with a mild raspberry, fieldberry, earthy floral hop berbal, flower petal accent, with some faint tartness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity acidic, tart, sour iodic raspberry, wildberry, floral petal character, with some wheaty, pale, roasty, grainy malt note and some flowery hop, fruity flower accents leading towards a warming, fruity, tart raspberry, fieldberry, sour, lingering hop leafy finish.

Bottle: Poured a medium reddish color ale with a rather small foamy head with minimal retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light raspberry with some tart notes. Taste is a rather singular mix between some fresh tart raspberries with some light acidic notes and a nice solid Belgian malt backbone. Body is fuller then average with average retention and no alcohol was apparent. Tends to be more of a fruit beer then a Saison but well done nonetheless.
