Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England Sep 4, 2009 Bottle thanks to some swiss chap that brought some awsome bottles to a random tasting at the rake. Alround rating: Citrusy, very grassy hop, lightly tart, minerally water it seems, dry, loads of yeast, far too much yeast infact. Allen (1282), Switzerland Jul 10, 2009 Bottled 75cl. 7 ABV. Bought in Drinks of the world in Bern. The Oud Bruin and Double Fraîcheur where also available. It pours a hazy copper beer with an average sized nicely remaining light beige head. Some yeast sediment is detectable. Strong aroma of blueberries, white pepper, candied apricot, hops and vinegar. A lot of blueberries and candied apricot showing up in the taste which is moderately acidic. Earthy with hints of white pepper. Subtle carbonation. Good balance. Medium to full bodied. Decent lacework. Dry finish which is reminiscent of apple. A complex brew. I prefer the Saison Framboise over this one. Lubiere (4462), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 6, 2009 A golden IPA with a thick creamy white head. A pleasant cereal and grassy hops in aroma, with wild herbs. In mouth, a very pleasant creamy ale with light notes of cloves and good hops. Medium bodied. Tasted at Mondiale 2007. Marsiblursi (1628), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 3, 2008 (Bottle, thanks omhper!) Pours hazy golden amber with a big white head. The aroma is of citric orange-like hops up front alongside some floral/perfumey and grassy notes. Yeasty, ester-ish fruity and subtle spicy with just a whisper of coriander, white pepper and nutmeg. Undertones of toasted white bread and vanilla ice cream. Light woody. The flavour is floral, grassy and citric hoppy, light to medium malty, light yeasty and light acidic. Medium bitter and light sweet but otherwise quite dusty and dry. Some fruitiness in the background. The mouthfeel is clean and light crisp. Medium bodied. Very nice. omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 18, 2008 Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy golden, airy head. Perfumy hoppy spicy nose. Lies rounded, lively and spritzy in the mouth. Estery flavour of winegum mixed cith citric hops. Intensive but in superb balance. Combines a perfect saison with an IPA, kind of what many Belgian brewers been trying to do, but this art is now perfected in Switzerland instead. SubCapt (23), Switzerland May 14, 2008 Spectacularly hoppy nose bursting with citrus fruit, golden amber with a slight haze,
vigorous carbonation, citrusy hops dominate the palate, with some sainson yeast spicy character trying to make its way underneath, long bitter finish, with some spicy, peppery notes. Great beer, but a lot more one-dimensional than its La Récolte stablemate. TBone (6662), Pori, Finland May 13, 2008 Bottled 75 cl (BB 10/2008)
Orange color, huge cloudy white head. Very fresh piney and fruity aroma - huge nose. Propably American hops are used. Very crisp carbonation. Now flavor has saison-like barnyard, but mainly this brew is very hoppy - very IPA-like. Also grain, pineapple and resin. Nice mix of Belgian Saison and American IPA. One of the better Swiss beers. oh6gdx (8794), Vasa, Finland May 12, 2008 Bottled (Thanks Bov!). Golden colour, huge white head. Aroma is huge hoppyness, tropical fruits and some barnyard. Flavour is grassy and fruity hops with some barnyard. Aftertaste is mainly grassy and barnyardy.
