Spare lacework. Muddy amber color. Grain, hay, grass, caramel. Medium bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavour. Light dry and bitter finish. faroeviking (4414), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Dec 1, 2007 Bottle. Pours a pale amber colour. Aroma of caramel, bit of chocolate and fruits. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a nice sweet toasted maltiness with caramel, some chocolate and some fruits. Toasty and fruitish finish. thewolf (3979), Kolding, Denmark May 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with a small head that leaves no lacing. Sweet fruity aroma with plenty of strawberries and caramel. Mouthfeel is a touch too spritzy. Taste is sweet with lots of malty caramel and an underlying sour fruityness. Again, Troldhede begins something great, but seems to hold back. Sad, as this is a nice brew, that could have been very good.
