Commercial Description:

Amber color with copper shades, it's a beer with historical importance, because it reviews a recipe from the 1600, when in many places around Europe it was common to give flavor to the beer with "gruyt", a mixture of herbs and spices, eventually replaced by hops.
In Febbre Alta, besides a small percentage of hop, there are 16 different aromatic herbs.
The resulting beer is deep under every point of view, with strong character and herbal & balsamic touch.

Refreshing and rewarding, to be paired to blue cheese or Italian cured meat.

On tap at Bir&Fud, Rome. Medevial recipe, spices instead of hops. Complex aroma, the flavour ir rather medical, all the herbs blend to make a cough syrup. I applaud such experiemnts, but I would not want it as an everyday tipple.

Good head at the beginning, not stable; dull hazy orange. Nose with rosemary, lavender, as walking in a lavender plantage. Sharp taste, first again lavender, then flavours of ginger, soap, human sweat, fennel and artichoke. Too sharp mouthfeel by half. In the palate also alcohol and even solvent. Desperately trying to find some balance.

Draught at Bi-Du Beer Fest 2007
Cloudy amber color; creamy head. The aroma is yeasty and herbal, like rosemary. Soft mouthfeel, some caramel taste, herbal touch, medicinal, alcohol. Ordinary bitterness.
I respect the right to brew and drink any kind of beer, but I prefer the straight ones to the experimental beers with herbs and fruits.
