Commercial Description:
Palanfrina is the fall seasonal and is brewed from September to December. The chestnuts arrive with first chilly days in autumn. Palanfrina brewed with chestnuts is a beer that warms the spirit. Palanfrina is a full-bodied beer with a tawny color and with an intense nose. The use of only regional chestnuts gives the beer a local flavor. Palanfrina is great with pungent cheeses and makes an optimal companion for chocolate desserts.

Bottle pours out a nice brown topped with a small tan head. Aroma of hops and yeast. Tast of pit fruit and the yeast once again. Italy should just stuck to wine. Thanks BuckDich

Light brown and chunky. Not much head. Minty, nutty, lightly earthy, leafy aroma. Light nutty notes, minty accents. Fairly refreshing, with good maltiness. Balanced, complex character. Pretty cool stuff, actually.

Brewtopia bottle. Hazy with particles. Sweet, nutty aroma. Gorgeous already. Flavors include herbal nuances, hint of anise, and lovely flowers. A romantic beer and one to seek out again.

Bottle: Chestnut brown, no head. Aroma is rather nutty and somewhat fruity. A little bit of the sweet and tart like a sour ale. Tastes of dark fruit and viney. Some nuts and earthiness. Roasty malt. Smokey? Although it maintains a creamy feel, there are hints of the tail of the ABV. Thanks BuckDich!

Bottle. Torben Matthews tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are nuts, sugar, malt and caramel. Very well balanced. Best chestnut beer I have had.
