Commercial Description:

On tap at Bir & Fud, Roma. Hazy golden with a small head. Complex fruity aroma with hints of melon and spices. Rounded melon flavours with just a bit of spices (including cinnamon?) A great Italian Belgian ale.

Hazy beer, small rim left. Citric nose, lemonbalm, chalk. Nutty taste, malts, ending dull-bready. Very carbonated MF, sharpish. Alchohol, very lightly. Bit indifferent, not one one would get crazy about.

My Bottom Line:
Honeyed malts tend to supercede the herbal, citrusy hops in this clean and well-made strong ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy blond.
-The body is round, and these residual sugars seem to provide the bulk of the flavors.
-A subtle spiciness stems from the hops in the finish.
-Carbonation is soft, which usually helps drinkability, but alcohol warmth warns you that this is no session beer.
-The honeyed sweetness verges on being caramelized.

On tap at Bir&Fud, Roma.

On tap at Bir & Fud on 7/6. Pours gold with a minimal head. Aroma of caramel, candied sugar, and funk. Similar taste. A very nice, solid beer.

Draft at Bir & Fud Rom,/Italy: Hazy yelow colour, with a flat head. Aroma of flowers, malty, fruity and a caramelly finish. Flavor had a smouth mouth feeling, with lots of caramel, reminds me of a norwegian bock beer, and thats a compliment.(In the head its stands Belgian Ale?) A Short to medium caramely finish. Nice!

Artebirra Pasturana 2008: difficile rimanere delusi dal Troll, che si dimostra sapientissimo nel dare una lettura personale di uno stile che qualcuno giudicherebbe ’convenzionale’. Buona buona
