Forse la migliore birra che ho assaggiato del Troll, una saison variopinta ed estremamente beverina nonostante la considerevole complessità. Da abbinare con una zuppa di legume.

Bottle purchased from O’Brien’s at Barrel-Aged Night. Appearance is a murky straw/golden hue, huge amount of frothy craggy head erodes to a peaky landscape, lacing is thin and watery. Smell is full of spices and floral presence, dominated by peppery overtones, hints of wheat, light fruits, and citrus, overall clean and crisp aromas. Taste is dominated by pepper spice and floral hops, hints of syrupy light fruits (pears/apples/oranges), light malt presence, alcohol is very muted, finishes dry, bitter, and spicy. Mouthfeel is light-bodied, watery and thin texture, carbonation is extremely high as foam continues to ooze out of the bottle even after I’ve poured out more than half the bottle. This Italian saison is well in the session range at under 4%abv, this is the most peppery/orange beer I have sampled and wins points for uniqueness, however I am not sure whether I would desire to drink this in large quantities, for tonight the 25oz bottle is way more than enough.

A Mes rate: bottle at GBBF.
Lemony brown colour with an excellent head and really well conditioned. Sweet, fruity aroma with lovely spice and lemon notes. Really adorable and perfectly balanced and juicy. The flavour is equally gorgeous. I could drink and drink this stuff. Wonderful fruity and juicy hops, fantastic dry lemon and glorious spicy notes with delicate hints of ginger. The coriander and pepper notes are superb. So very well balanced. Absolutely fantastic.

Bottle. High lasting white fluffy head. Hazy yellow body. Distinct coriander aroma. Very spicy yet mild fluffy flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Bottled - GBBF 2008. A hazy yellowy gold coloured beer with a white wisp of head. The aroma is prefumed and flowery with spices and lemon. The taste has peppery spicy hop. Some funk and some lemon, but short and sharp.

Bottle at GBBF 2008 Pours hazy golden. The aroma is a bit green nutty like a filbert nut maybe with some soft citrus there as well, strangely I also get a waft of cooked pasta and a bit of perfume. Lovely fresh spritzy, zesty refreshing flavour, great taste nice soft malty flavours but quite drying and citrusy as well, I liked this a lot and would regard this as one of my beers of the festival.
