Dec 10, 2009 500 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Cardinal. Dark golden body with a nice beige head. Strong citric hoppy aroma, quite distinct and pleasant. Flavor is fruity, some caramel, malt and a balanced bitter finish. Medium body, easy drinkable. Maybe a bit plain, but a real tasty thirst-quencher. Looking forward to sample more beers from this brewery.

Dec 4, 2009 50 cl bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy amber color, moderate off-white head. Aroma is hops, fruit/berries and caramel malt. Flavor is malty with some hops and some citrus.

Dec 3, 2009 Pours hazy red golden with a large fluffy off-white head and fair lacing as it reduces into a small lasting cover. Nice inviting hoppy and caramel nose. Suspect dry hopping. Tasting strengthen my suspicions. It is sweet and pine bitter with some citrus tones and a light alcoholic finish. Light to medium bodied, texture is syrupy. Keep making quality like this, Trollbryggeriet, and you’ll do well! Recommended!

Nov 25, 2009 Bottle @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours murky orange with a small off-white head. Weak malty and perfumed aroma. The flavour has notes of malts and berries, moderate sweet, nice bitter towards the end. Good beer!

Nov 20, 2009 0.5 L bottle bought at Fenaknoken, Oslo. A hazy, amber colored beer, with a mediumsized, beige head, quickly shrinking to a ring of foam. Initial aroma of yellow apples, dryish, slight acidic. Then a scent of ashy, lightly toasted malts, and a touch of dusty hops. Bitter-sweet, medium malt body. Notes of berries. A fine, earthy and herbal hop bitterness is there to balance. Slick in the mouth. Mouthfilling. Rounded, dryish malty, light hop bitter finish. Balanced and well-crafted. A nice debut from Trollbryggeriet.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Amber colour, low head. Aroma of berries and tobacco. The flavour has notes of malts and berries, also notes of tobacco, moderate bitterness. Not bad for a newcomer brewery.

Oct 25, 2009 Bottle, 50cl, from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Batch no. 5. Golden brown colour, decent head. Sweet, malty, faintly smoked aroma. Good malty taste, some bitterness in the fairly short aftertaste. Worked well together with Thai food.

Rather sweet and malty, with a bitter edge that is not wholly to my liking.
Full body.
Some yeast in the finish.
Not bad, but not quite there - but I’ll make sure I try other brews from this newcomer.
