jason (1500), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 25, 2008 Draft. Poured a deep red body with thin head. Aroma is light hops. Flavor is malty, light hops, yeast.
daknole (683), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 Not really that good. Brown pour and a very small head. Aroma is pretty malty and not all that bad. But the flavor has some malt mixed with a funky sour finish...it almost tastes skunked. Not my style at all. DTM (365), Winters, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle from a trade with StFun. Poured a brown/red color. Smelled a little fruity and the taste was definately a little sour. I was very surprised, I was expecting just another typical amber. timfoolery (336), California, USA Aug 18, 2008 Obtained through trade (as the beer to be named later...). This one is by no means an Amber Ale. I think what they meant to say was Sour Ale because there was clearly bacteria present. A little carbinated for my taste, but I liked the sour/tartness. Props to my homies at RR brew! riversideAK (1570), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 1, 2008 Bottle from jjpm74. Thanks man. Pours a hazy brownish red with a nice head. It looks pretty decent. Aroma is somewhat sour with a good dose of tart citrus. A little caramel malts and sweet toasty aspects are detectable, but the tart aspects dominate. Almost to the point of it reminding me of a low grade sour ale. I am pretty sure it wasn’t supposed to be this way, but it did not taste bad even though it was obviously not in good form. It was tart with a decent sour flavor. A little tart citrus stings the tongue all the while some toasted malts peak through. Light and kind of sour. I rated this based on how it tasted to me, and even though it was obviously messed up, it did not taste all that bad. Oh well. puboflyons (373), New Hampshire, USA Jul 5, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle without any lot code or date. It must have been highly carbonated because when I cracked the top off it really fizzed up (too much actually). It almost popped like a cork! It isn’t really red because it pours a handsome brown-amber with a ton of foamy beige head. Aroma of yeast, malts and fruit. Decent mouthfeel. The taste was mostly malted and maybe just a sprinkle of hops. It seened kind of dry to me.
