UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Oct 2, 2002 I really wasn’t into this stuff. I guess it’s good, but I think you really have to want to like it. I’m not much for lagers in general, although I do like a good pilsener. This didn’t really do it for me. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Sep 30, 2002 Great head and lace. The beer is naturally hazy. I detect a little bit of dyacetyl in the nose and on the palate. The butterscotch becomes much more noticeable as the beer warms. I guess having a summer brew a few days into fall is probably not a good idea, but the bottle does not have an age statement. Who knows when it was packaged. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Aug 20, 2002 The more I drink this beer, the more I appreciate it.Fruity, spicy, and quite refreshing. boto (1319), Granby, Connecticut, USA Jun 24, 2002 A good summer brew. Light, but still has character. michaelm18 (118), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 9, 2002 Nice lemon flavor but a little watery. Had some aftertaste but overall a decent beer. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA May 30, 2002 Clear straw. Foamy white head. Moderate carbonation. Toasted white bread aroma, grassy hops. Crisp yet full bodied with a toasted malt aspect, fresh mown hay and spicy hops. Clean and dry. Slight fruity yeastiness appears as it warms. Finishes well balanced with a touch more malt sweetness and increase in hop spiciness. A very good, non American Wheat, Summer brew.
