mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 20, 2008 [1576-20080810] Tap. Mild grains aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Candied vanilla grains flavour. Medium body. Interesting flavour.
(@ TFOB 2008; Toronto, ON) Geth_in_beer (671), Nova Scotia, Canada Aug 17, 2008 Sampler. Weak in aroma and a thin flavour. Smooth texture, little sweet. A bit dull and forgettable. Beer Snob (353), Ontario, Canada May 1, 2008 Updated: May 14, 2008Small head, grassy aroma. Not much flavour to speak of, a bit of toffee sweetness that disappears into a metallic tang.
Not sure I’d buy this again. tupalev (2299), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 24, 2007 Bottle sample, Canadian Brewing Awards 07. Medium yellow, small white head. Mild malt sweetness in aroma - nothing harsh, smells fresh actually. Taste - more of the same, cream malt sweetness you expect from a decently done Canadian Cream Ale - this one was actually bordering on flavourful. Again, nothing off-putting, a decent light ale actually, surprised me a bit. Still not a great fan of this style. HogTownHarry (3200), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2007 Draught. At 2007 Fort York TFOB. Clear, oily-looking gold pour with a decent fizzy off-white diminishing head. Aroma of creamed corn, light plastic and cereal grain. The taste - quite light, cereal grain, generic very light floral dry stale hop bitterness, and just to convince me I wasn’t hallucinating, a hint of corn and PVC waiting to take over if I were STUPID enough to let this sucker warm up at all. Light bodied with a very quick finish, and only a slightly "off" aftertaste; not really bad, mostly just boring - drink this f*&ker cold!
