| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Gold clear and white head. Smells lightly sweet with a whiff of malted grain and some crisp yeast. Taste and body are fairly light showing alefruit and a hint of fairly sophisticated english ale yeast character. Taste disappears quickly, making the beer quenching and simple. Some residual sugar sweetness like other TN. vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 25, 2009 Pours golden with an instantly disappearing head. The aroma has diacetyl, lightly sweet nutty malt and mush veggies. Medium slick body with prickly carbonation. The flavor starts of medicinal and spicy with light caramel malt and mineral water. There is a wateriness to everything. The finish is highly phenolic and veggie heavy. xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Acquired in a trade with Matt7215. Pours a nice golden amber with a hint of red and a nice white head with good retention. Aroma is bright with caramel, soft fruits, and a little bitterness in the aroma as well. Tastes like caramel and toffee as well with grain and a little bitterness on the finish. Nice mouth feel. Nice cream ale! Don’t understand the low rating on this one. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2009 341ml bottle courtesy of matt7215, thanks Matt! Pours a very lively deep gold with a small white cap. The aroma is pretty much what I expected, creamy pale malts, sweet bread crust, fruity and with a touch of tinny hops. Flavour wise you get all that with soem nice prickly bitterness in the finish from the hops, which is something you don’t typically get in Cream Ales I find. Very nice balance, not overly sweet. A bit of a creamy feel to it but balanced by the carbonation which is in good proportion. A very solid product from an even more solid brewery. I really wish I could get fresh stuff from Magnotta more easily. matt7215 (972), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2009 341 ml bottle from the beer store. pours deep golden with a perfect white head. great retention and lacing. perfect cream ale appearance. the nose is malt forward. typical malt nose of this brewer leaning more towards pale lagerish bready malts along with some floral hopping. the flavour is as perfect as you could expect a cream ale to be. wonderful caramel, pale malt, light fruits with hops. holy hell this is a damn fine brew. i dont know why it took me this long to find out about magnotta but so far this is my go to ontario craft brewer at the beer store. ill be purchasing more of this. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Decants a crystal clear sparkling dark honey-gold ale with a nice frothy 2 finger cap that lasts and laces well.
Aroma of bread, caramel and succulent fruits.
Flavor is rounded and has a distinct soft sweet bready character, hops balance but maltyness and the fruity esters (peach-apricot-citrus) stand out. Goes to a thirst quenching clean finish. Creamy mouth feel.
A perfect example of a very misinterpreted and underappreciated style. Magnotta scores again on accurate style interpretation with this one. Good quencher pleasant to drink.
