Commercial Description:
An ultra-premium all-malt Strong Ale at 6% alc./vol. Attractive copper colour with a complex aroma that is assertive and alive with balanced sweet malt nuances and fruity/floral ale and hop aromatics. A rich, slightly sweet caramel malt flavour is enhanced by the taste of fresh hops and classic ale fruitiness. Hop bitterness is moderate to full, but well balanced by the malt elements. Perfect food pairings include but are not limited to onion soups, beef and pork ribs, lamb dishes, hearty stews, bruschetta, carrot cake, and cheddar and pecorino cheeses.

smell is an alcoholic resiny caramel, it pours dark amber with a thick white head that turns to a thick lace. taste is molasses, sugar syrup, a bit of toasted grain. the mouthfeel is sticky smooth and thick. this is an incredible, affordable session beer. wow

341ml bottle acquired in trade with Sammy (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color wtih a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of grains, some fruitiness, and caramel. Tastes of grains (stronger than the aromas), lighter fruitiness, and a little toasty.

Brewery. Pours clear dark amber white head. Aroma fruit yeast and mineral. Taste fruit, some dry hop, and lasting sticky sweetness.

341ml bottle from an in-person trade with matt7215, thanks Matt! Pours a beautiful amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is just amazing, peat, cereal grains, worty awesomness, fruity and nutty malts, basically everything that rocks about these types of beers. Flavour reflects the aroma perfectly but takes it to a whole-’nother-level! A touch of Belgian milk chocolate and some mild hops in the finish but this one is so malt driven and I love it. Goes down pretty easy for something 6%. Amber ale? Maybe not, perhaps an English Strong, whatever it is it’s delicious! Reminds me in some ways like Rogue Hazelnut brown, and yet it also reminds me of Paulaner Salvator in terms of the malt structure, weird. I’m so impressed with this brewery so far .

341 ml bottle from the beer store. pours beautiful copper with a small white head. very minimal carbonation perfect for the style. great malt nose. caramel, some leather, almost barley wine like, not at all what i was expecting but very nice. the flavours are mostly malty but there are hops in the finish. nice and dry with no flaws at all. a great surprise from a little know ontario micro.

Pours clear, dark gold with a half inch head of white. Retention is short, and barely a trace of lace or head remained after two minutes. Aromatics are mainly malt, caramel, and a hint of butter. Slightly husky and bready. Medium bodied and a bit creamy. Light carbonation and slightly syrupy. Doughy malt, drizzeled caramel, and a hint of butterscotch start off the palate. Some rounded honey notes pull through along with a smidge of cocoa. Finishes farily quick with drying malt and a honey sweetness. Big ups to NorthyorkSammy for the bonus brew!

Not bad for this brewer, a neutral aroma. Significantly lacey and golden with good sized white head. Taste is akin to a basic old ale, with barley noticeable in the finish, lager and average mouthfeel up front. Warming alcohol. A bit drying.

Amber with a small head. Bland taste that is livened somewhat by a nice malty blast. Finishes with a bit of bitterness and is instantly forgettable. But not unpleasant.
