Cask sample at Volo Cask Days 2008. Slightly cloudy light golden with a greenish tinge. Fruity aroma - lots of tropical juice notes, with some very green hops. Light bodied. Mild, fresh flavour with light malt and a good hop presence. Fairly simple, but quite sessionable.

[1796-20081017] Cask. Whipped orange cream aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with no head. Mostly hoppy orange cream flavour. Light-medium body. Fair.

Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2008. Looks like greenish lemon juice - cloudy yellow, small head. Grassy & slightly lemony aroma - pretty mild and inoffensive. Ehh - pretty bland tasting too, sort of like stale grass. Light, mildly carbonated, a hint of astringency, quick finishing. Whatever - drinkable, forgettable.

cask at Volo
Appearance: Hazed gold brew with medium rocky top.
Nose: Citric , fruity hop aroma , clean , refreshing , slightly raw. Good.
Flavor/Palate : Soft medium light body. Green hop feel right over. Refreshing, lighter lager that I would like to see more often off.

Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2008’. Pours a hazy pale yellow-green with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of grassy hops, a bit of cooked green vegetables and grain -- just O.K. Slightly watery flavour follows the aroma and it’s not as flavourful as I’d like. Decent bitter finish. Average bodied. Like I said, it’s just O.K.

2008-10-17. Headless hazy pastel yellow. Odd aroma, fruit, grains. Flavour is similar, touch astringent, odd grains. Strange fruit notes are pleasant, but puzzling. Average to thin bodied palate. Not sure if I got a wonky sample or if this was just not to my taste or what, but I did not care for this one. Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2008
