Very intensive hoppy aroma, flowery. Full-bodied, very hoppy in a flowery way, bitter-sweet with hints of Saaz hops. Reminds me of good Czech 12° lagers, although this one is more flowery and perfumy. Well-matured, pleasant mf and carbonation. My first Austrian beer since a long time - and what a surprise, this is superb! JorisPPattyn (5173), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 21, 2008 Draught; sample from Trumer Berkeley Brewery, CA Pale gold, with a small white head. Leafy, slightly grassy nose, with loads of pale malts. Extremely malty taste, typical pale malts, and just a touch of good EU hops in the finish. Bit of diacetyl all the same. Lightly, bit fizzy. More than decent Pilsener, and no doubt a true rendering of the original. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

Aroma is grass, some bread, somewhat buttery. Body is medium to light, bitterness is moderate to high. Very drinkable and refreshing. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2008 16oz draft: poured light yellow, a little cloudy, perhaps chill haze, with a smallish white head due more to the pour than the beer itself. Mild hop aroma, grass. Flavor is quite nice. Slight bitterness, good carbonation, a touch of grapes and slight cardboard. Good beer enjoyed outside on the bar patio at a hotel. jabrewing (11), Denver, Colorado, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Draft. Pours very light yellow with a white head. Has a somewhat grassy aroma. Light easy drinker with a decent finish of noble hops. troopie (884), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Bottle. Poured very pale yellow with a foamy white head. Little lacing. Aromatic grassy nose. Light malty body with a not unpleasant astringent finish. This is not really full nor bitter enough for a pilsener, but is a worthy helles. It’s low enow in alcohol to be a good session or after work bier.
