Bottle. Hazy golden coloured. Banana peel flavour. Not too sweet. Actually quite drinkable.

Bottle, GBBF2004. Hazy Gold, low white head and moderate condition. Good phenolic clove and banana nose, more intensly estery and banana phenolic in the mouth and a muted sweet banana finish. Better than many mainstream German Weissbiers.

The foreign beer bar had quite a selection of rare (for the UK at least) Austrian beers. This was a pretty decent wheat beer with the usual banana esters and citric accents. Refreshing. Rauchbier and I accidentally bought another bottle the next day because it was listed under Sigl, but that isn’t obvious from the label. Bottled at GBBF 2004.

Bottle. Nice wheat. Lots of banana esters, wheaty (duh?). Like the finish, off dry, lemony, with some tartness, well made i thought, tasty.

Bottle (GBBF). Spicy wheat aroma. Spicy wheat flavours. Not my thing. I don’t care.

it has a strong sweet aroma, and is a cloudy beige-orange colour. the head was large and foamy, like detergent. it was a tiny bit light on the flavour initially, but has a strong aftertaste and is fruity. according to the bottle, mine had expired a month before, but it did not seem to matter.

Very faint hazy gold orange under a small very short lasting off white head. Mild citrus grainy when cold, and fainter tropical fruity bubble gum aroma on warming. Medium smooth body. Medium malt and grainy sour dough with hint of banana flavour. Light bitter sweet finish and aftertaste. Reminiscent of the Weihenstephaner range so more or less average as far as German Wheats go but still very pleasant drinking.
