Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

hops dominate on nose, hoppy on palate with some malt back-bone, nice finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, very pale yellow with a thin white head. Nose was skunky! Ugh! Why do they think a beer coming all the way from China would survive in green bottles? Stupid. Taste wasn’t horrible, but was definitely weak. Some grass and yeast, but definitely not something I can tolerate. Drain pour!

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Taste is of malt, kind of sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Aroma is much the same. Pretty easy to drink and kind of refreshing. Pairs well with certain foods. Overall, this is a decent beer, but it is overpriced and kind of forgettable.

While not a great beer, Tsingtao is definitely serviceable. Best drunk out of a bottle or poured into a beer glass, avoid the larger versions. Tsingtao is not the bottom of the barrel, but it does elevate itself slightly above the crowd of awful beers below it.

Pours like apple cider from the bottle with a trim white head that quickly dissapates. Smells like a homeless person, yet offers balanced flavors of red apples and yeast in the taste.

Aroma is malty and sweet, maybe some grass in there. The appearance is a dark yellow with an orange tinge, a dark color for this style. The flavor is malty and sweet, true to this style, but has a grassy and even spicy quality to it. This mujst be from the hops they use, or they adjuncts they put into it. No much hoppiness on the finish, more spicyness, and grass flavor. Different. Drinkable.
