Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Very light on everything. Small head, no lacing. Slightest of hops aromas. Hops, malt and rice flavors, but barely detectable. Decent carbonation. Good beer for a Chinese meal when you’re concentrating on the food.

Bottled. Pours honey colored with a small white head. Aroma is brown rice and perhaps some burnt toast. Flavor is sweet grain. Thin but sweet body with at least some noticable malt.

330 ml bottle. Very pale yellow colour, thin white head. Mild aroma of malts, rice and some hops. Very thin and watery mouthfeel, weak carbonation. Thin flavour of malts and rice, tastes mostly like water. Don’t waste your time and money on this one.

Bottle. Golden pour with a white head. Faint aroma of stale hops, flavor has a decent malt base with a strange balancing bitterness. I dont know whats premium about this, just like any other pale lager. Apparently there are no adjuncts... so I guess the Chinese will put rice in everything except beer.

Close. I would have given it a 7. Aroma is of stale malt and skunky hops. Not a good beer. wouldn’t buy again
