This beer is not something I would wish on anyone. the aroma and taste is almost nonexhistent. perhaps it better overseas, I hope so. msears (10), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 8, 2008 If you can find a bottle that hasn’t been blasted to death by fluorescent light then it is actually quite good. Nothing memorable but all in all a pretty refreshing beer. Standard lager here, which isn’t a bad thing.
It seems about half of their product gets skunky before it reaches the consumer though, so beware! BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 5, 2008 No head, skunky nose and taste with a bitter acid finish. It was plain. Its not really even drinkable. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Blah. Had this at my birthday party with sushi and even that couldn’t mask the horrible-ness of this beer. Aroma was a weak mix of light malt and corn. Pour was a light bubbly gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was full of adjunct. Corn or rice maybe? A light malt sweet aftertaste that didn’t help much. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2008 While better then some of the lesser American macro-brews, Tsingtao is not a memorable beer. Bad aroma is forgiven by a watered down taste. Not a beer that you must try. MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light golden color with a small white head. Light aroma of ginger and grain. The taste is much of the same a tangy gingery bite, a slight hint of hops, and some grainy flavor. I’ve enjoyed this beer over the years for its nice flavor that is unique to it’s self. scotty (830), Scotland
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jan 31, 2008 Really light and grainy on the palate, virtually no aroma, watery in appearance, lacking on all fronts really. alaskanwarren (286), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2008 Clean fairly fresh aroma, not really hoppy but more interesting than most "premium lager". Flavor is somewhat grainy and a hint of earthy hops. Finish is more of the same. Very clean. I was gifted a 6 pack of this and I’m already halfway through. I think it’s underrated here, but let’s not be mistaken, it’s nothing mindblowing.
