Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

If you can find a bottle that hasn’t been blasted to death by fluorescent light then it is actually quite good. Nothing memorable but all in all a pretty refreshing beer. Standard lager here, which isn’t a bad thing. It seems about half of their product gets skunky before it reaches the consumer though, so beware!

No head, skunky nose and taste with a bitter acid finish. It was plain. Its not really even drinkable.

Blah. Had this at my birthday party with sushi and even that couldn’t mask the horrible-ness of this beer. Aroma was a weak mix of light malt and corn. Pour was a light bubbly gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was full of adjunct. Corn or rice maybe? A light malt sweet aftertaste that didn’t help much.

While better then some of the lesser American macro-brews, Tsingtao is not a memorable beer. Bad aroma is forgiven by a watered down taste. Not a beer that you must try.

Bottle. Pours a light golden color with a small white head. Light aroma of ginger and grain. The taste is much of the same a tangy gingery bite, a slight hint of hops, and some grainy flavor. I’ve enjoyed this beer over the years for its nice flavor that is unique to it’s self.

Really light and grainy on the palate, virtually no aroma, watery in appearance, lacking on all fronts really.

Clean fairly fresh aroma, not really hoppy but more interesting than most "premium lager". Flavor is somewhat grainy and a hint of earthy hops. Finish is more of the same. Very clean. I was gifted a 6 pack of this and I’m already halfway through. I think it’s underrated here, but let’s not be mistaken, it’s nothing mindblowing.
