Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

This beer was so bad, I had not rate it here at the site, after not having rated for a while. Thick white head, little color maybe yellow, unmistakenly smelled like skunk, some carbonation. Tasted like water with a splash of armpit.

skunky, brown, clear, aminimal head, brown foam, medium bitterness, vinegar, light body, thin feel, fizzy, bitter. Disappointed by size of head and how fast it disappeared. The second thing I noticed was the smell was very unpleasant. The smell made it difficult to want to drink the beer. The look very watery. This beer is not appealing at all.

Shows its German heritage (brewery originally established by German colonial masters; most brewmasters still alumni of famed Munich Technical University’s Weihenstephan Institute as are many of their peers around the world). Can stand up to most any traditional European beer. Not a difficult choice when on the menu, US beers (not talking micros here) need not apply.

Pale yellow color similar to other mass produced beers with flavor and aroma to match.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow, whimpy white head. Very fizzy. Smells vaguely of amines. Tastes metallic with hints of unpleasent chemical bitterness and urine. Texture like seltzer water. Nothing good comes out of this bottle.

Watery Chinese lager. Pale yellow pour with a filmy white head, intense carbonation and no lacing. Lightly grassy aroma, crisp and decent. Horrid, empty mouth feel, finishes like stale crackers. Flavor is empty and bland, dull and boring. No redeeming qualities to think of, I sure hope this contains less lead than the toys that are being made over there.

21.6 oz bottle at a chinese restaurant in SB. Aroma is light but pure premium lager yeast. A surprisingly not unappetizing flavor, dry and lagery, much better than most American macros, it doesn’t have that corniness that you often find. Medium bodied and smooth (not crisp). It was a little less than half bad.
