Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Pours no head with a white frothy rim over a lager-gold body. Smells of dead grass, dirt, and malty grains. Flavors include more dirt, cardboard, and a strange finish that suggests white rice. Sweet upfront and rice-y body all-around. Medium carbonation/body. A little flat for the style. I’m not a big fan of lagers, but this was OK.

Yellow pour with extremely small, white head. Malty, almost in the same vein as a Heineken. Not bad.

Drank it in Tin Jo in Costa Rica. I recommend the restaurant. Lager pours into a pale yellow with white head. Malty with some hops, not bad.

0.33 l bottle. My first beer from the east. Poured clear golden body with medium smaller head going down pretty fast. Aroma is quite strong, malty, some bread hops, too. Flavor is bitterish, quite light bodied and leaves watery impression. It is however different than other lagers I’ve tried, still it’s not from Europe... Medium carbonated, has average long and bitter finish with some very slight sourness. Goes down smoothly. Not necessary bad, but still in the array of very average or below.

Pours a golden yellow with a barely there head. Smells of bread with light malts and something else that I am absolutely loving. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter and finishes similarly but short lived. I got hints of licorice near the bottom of my glass. Feels light and bubbly on the tongue.

Pours a golden yellow colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of earthy hops and a distinct yeast. Initial taste begins grainy that balance out with some toasty malts. Finishing with a minor bitter hops. Overall enjoyable.
