Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of hops and some rice. Taste is light malty and hoppy, quite watery. Accompanies well with chinese food. Average beer

What can one say, this is the Chinese Bud-light. The look, smell, and taste is very light, almost non-existent. Sure after exercise, or with hot and spicey food, this might be an enjoyable beer, but don’t bring high expectations.

I only had a couple of sips of this beer but found it to be very average. It reminded me a lot of a bud light/miller lite "i’m just trying to get drunk beer." Although it is slightly better then those listed, its nothing special.

I tried this beer on August 8, 2007 at a Korean Grill restaurant (Queen/University location) in Toronto. The beer poured a golden yellow into the glass with no head. There was no aroma to speak of..........I even had my partner smell the beer and she couldn’t smell anything either. The mouthfeel was thin with mild carbonation. The taste was slightly malty with a dry finish.

Originally reviewed back on 7/28/03. Received 3.35 score. Added to my RB list to check "China" as a beer country consumed. A pale yellow beer with a scant white head. Smells sweet with a healthy corn aspect. Grainy aftertaste. Meh.

aofoxxy is right -- smells worse than it tastes. Which isn’t saying much. Thin, ricy, watered down and fizzy. Drink fast when it’s cold, and move onto something else.

Very mild, light taste - virtually no texture - and slightly sweet aftertaste. Head doesn’t last very long at all. Clear light yellowish color.
