Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

For no particular reason, except perhaps the labelling on bottle itself, i’ve held off drinking this beer for quite a few years. Aroma of rice and pale malts with a slight hint of sweetness. Pours a bubbly pale gold body with white foam and lace. Flavour is refreshing, smooth, with some light hop character. More palatable and flavoursome than your typical export lager, particularly coming in nicely sized 640mL bottles.

Green 12oz bottle. Bright yellow and very clear. Aroma of water and some hop. Body is very light and refreshing. Well balanced. The Chinese sure did make an inexpensive mock-up of A Premium Lager with this one. exceeded my expectations!

Joy! another macro lager! yes!! imported hops and barley from Canada? I bet Molson or Labatt is selling them the leftovers. And its in the dreaded green bottle to boot! Popped it open, and to my uter SHOCK, its skunky, wow.....didn’t see that comming. blech. skunky pale lager. chalk up another one for the boring bin.

Bottle. Horrible pissy light-yellow appearance a poor first impression. Things get better with a tempting hop/grain aroma and vague lemon ice cream. Smooth, clean palate features perfect carbonation for this beer style. Light flavoured, though not distasteful with some hops and a creamy light-malt finish. Not bad for a cookie-cutter macro lager.

33 cl bottle. Norwegian 4,5% ABV version. Golden color, big white head. Sweet aroma, sweet and strange bitterness in flavor.

A basic, slightly sweet lager reminiscent of honey, oak, and grass. Best suited along side of spicy or salty food.

12oz bottle. Pours a very pale yellow with a very fleeting head. Both the aroma and taste are dominated by light earthy tones -- the smell is strongly grassy with a taste that adds some hints of earth and grains. Very light flavor that’s certainly drinkable, but otherwise unremarkable.

Very light and grainy flavor. Slightly grassy and crisp in the finish, but not enough to be quenching like a pils. Fairly subtle beer overall, very clean and fizzy flavor. Probably goes nice with spicy food to clean the palate.
