Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

best way to describe this beer is chinese heineken. someone told me that heineken owns most of them which would explain why after i drank 3 i felt like it wasn’t that special. not much aroma maybe kinda skunky, but a light hop taste that comes off as refreshing if its really hot out. the beer is thin and leaves a light aftertaste.

Probably the best option for a lager, when one goes to the local Chinese restaurant. Pale in colour and quite ricey - I wouldn’t drink this in the pub as is by no means a session beer; however, tastes good when one is tucking into a spicy Szechuan labrador and a sweet and sour viper! As the late Bruce Forsyth was wont of saying: "The rice is right!"

Bottle, 5%. Looks very pale, huge white head that dissipates quickly. Nose very skunky, lemon and soap suds, hop and aceticness. Not great start. Trepidation demanded I push on. I was rewarded by a nice clean water. There might be some taste here, perhaps some sweetness, like malt, but more icing sugary taste, hint of jasmine perhaps? Rice-like coating property. This icing sugar come sherbert lasts right through to the finish, which is sweet, inoffensive and dull. Not enough of anything, really. Really boring.

Skunky aroma. Yet before purchasing, I took out a bottle and gave it a tilt. It stayed clear with no evidence of sediment, so I thought I was getting fresh. Pours a very pale yellow with a short lasting fizzy white head. Taste is faintly sweet pale malt and corn with a hint of hops. Quite watery and tasteless actually, but at least the skunk didn’t come through in the taste. Still, a total waste of $7.59.

This is my first Asian beer, so I was tentative about it. It poured a pale amber with a sudsy-looking head. I read that some smelled the dreaded skunk, but there was none in mine. The nose was very lightly fruity with a detergent component???, unusual for a lager. The taste was excellent, light hops and bitterness and very refreshing with a nutty aftertaste. For me, a pale lager fan, this is a very good beer.

12oz bottle- A light clear golden body with a small ring for a head. Aroma of slight skunk and malt. Taste of a pale lager with some dryness on the back end. I was expecting worse.

My bro had a couple left over from a party so I tried one. Reminded me of an Asian Corona or Bud, which it pretty much is. I mean, very little flavour or aroma. Made to be an easy drinking, cold beer to have on a hot day or with hot/spicy food. Not terrible, but I want more flavour from my beer.
