Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

12 oz bottle poured in a Tai food place. Golden yellow with a medium pale head. Flavors were a bit skunky to me and the best thing about this beer was it helped relieve the heat from my Duck red curry.

I must say, I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered this one at a restaurant in Boston’s ChinaTown..But..It’s surprisingly good! Who would have thought the Chinese brewed good beer..go figure. It makes more sense now, upon learning that Tsingtao was a German possession in the 1900’s. The beer itself is refreshing and bizarrely light-tasting for a regular beer, but in an inoffensive sort of way. Decent brew all around. (AB owns 20-ish% of the company)

600 ml. bottle. Brewed by the Taiwan Tsing Brewing Company in Kaohsuing, Taiwan. Tastes very different from the Tsingtao produced in China. This bottle is very fresh - bottled within the last month. Pours golden with a thin white head. Clean, crisp smell of malt and a touch of grassy hops. Flavor is ok, just very simple. Tastes doughy and there is some bitterness on the finish. Still lots of rice, though. A refreshing beer for Taiwan’s hot weather. Better than Taiwan Beer.

Bottle. Plae yellow colour with nice white head. Rather interesting aroma of smoked green tea and some hops. Flavor is less interesting, but still quite nice with soothing bitterness. Strange but fairly good.

Bouteille. 4.5% ABV. Couleur or pâle et clair, mousse s’estompe rapidement. Arome faible d’houblon et de grain. Gout doux et rafraichissant, encore ici faible, de houblon et de grain. Effervescence moyen corps faible, arrière-gout presque absent. Correct, mais rien à dire de plus.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear yellow with a thin white head. Smells like a beer. Some hops and a light touch of malts and dry hay. Flavor is light and cleansing. Doesn’t last too long on the palate. Refreshing.

Light golden colour, thin head. Aroma of sweet malt and a bit hoppy noose. Very easy and pleasant to drink.
