Skunky aroma, porued a see-through amber with large, frothy head. Watery flavor, reminded me of a Miller Lite, but aftertaste was better. A sweet taste, should probably be taken with Chinese food to get the full experince. I’d rate higher, but the flavor doesn’t do much alone. Not a bad beer, just not a good one either. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland May 17, 2006 [bottle from peckhams] bland, skunky, cereal bollocks. I’ll avoid this in future. POD (198), USA May 13, 2006 I was introuduced to Tsingtao during a sushi dining experience. I found the flavor sweet and mild. The appearance is clear golden in color. Overall I place it as a refreshing & complimentary beverage for chinese or japanese cusine if you can’t handle or don’t like Sake. greenmanalishi (294), Leicestershire, England May 12, 2006 Updated: May 23, 2006Nasty. Asahi Super Dry was my lowest rated beer before this, but atleast that was completely bland and inoffensive. This is similarly watery, a bit sweeter. Cloying. Horrendously oily aroma, infact if there were minus marks on the aroma scale for exceptional circumstances, this would be there. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA May 11, 2006 Better than average lager. Taste is a bit malty with some hops presence. Smooth to drink and finished nice and crisp. Better than most beers available at the local Chinese restaurant. Quinten (954), zaandam, Netherlands May 6, 2006 Golden color. medium head, smel is nice skunky like a pilsener, fullhop pilsener taste,.....big suprise, almost a german one.
with rice....... LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark May 6, 2006 Not as bland as I expected. Actually very refreshing with a decent sweet malty base. Almost no bitterness. trafford (171), Germantown, Tennessee, USA May 3, 2006 Not one of the best beers in the world, but it is the #1 branded export from China. Typical premium lager with a little more flavor than it’s domestic counterparts.
