Nothing too distinguishing but nothing that detracts from a clean beverage. Better than most american standards and not a bad pilsener just somewhat light. SledgeJr (2961), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

If you are a 14 year old reading this, please say "CHING-DOW." I will from time to time order this at a chinese restaurant when I’m dining on something really spicy. You see, the ethanol is really the only saving grace to this fluid. Does this brewery really import yeast and malted barley to make this? I didn’t know that China imported anything... | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jul 20, 2003 Barely noticeable aroma of hops. Light yellow. Hardly any taste at all. Thin. This beer has nothing to offer. daknole (2941), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 7, 2006 Bottle. Skunky aroma hit me before I even got the cap off - has a sharp sour (almost rotting) malt aroma. Light yellow with small head. Slight sweet mildly fruity and tangy malt flavor. Bitter flavor actually comes as an aftertaste. Not horrible, not great. skortila (2905), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 28, 2004 Aroma is hoppy, slightly malty, skunky and something weird (which should be the rice). Clear, golden coloured with a fast diminishing head. Taste is better than smell. Initially sparkling beer, becomes more bitter. hoppy, (too) sweet and a little floral. Fresh palate, slightly dry. At least it tastes better than I expected. Dogbrick (2863), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 5, 2002 This should be called ’China-ken’. Very
similar flavor to Heineken, but more skunky. Pinball (2862), Allerød, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2008 bottle, label does not match the picture at all, but the imported beer claimed to be a tsingtao beer acc. to my notes. i probably spelled tsingtao wrong, as no tsingtao beer exists.. sampled at a chinese restaurant in alcudia spain.
aroma-mainly hoppy, sweet notes behind that.
appearance-yellow , thick white head.
flavor-not very strong flavor. sweet faint hops, sawdusty sweet notes. even though very weak, it is nicely balanced.
