Jun 2, 2006 Didn’t expect much, but have been hitting some of these asian swills lately. Bottle opened with a strong skunk smell. Color was pretty light, yellow with a very slight off orange tint. Huge head merley from the artificial carbonation and it subsided just like a soda (some lacing throughout, though). Mouthfeel was decent for a swill and the flavor was corn malty with a mild (pleasant) hop finish that would be typical of a weak Pilsner. Wasn’t a great beer, but I’ve had worse.

Jul 18, 2005 Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a small bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of weak malt and hops with bad case of skunk in the back. Taste is pretty inoffensive apart from the bad case of skunkyness. You have to wondered why they import all those crappy lager into North Amercia…

May 3, 2004 Bottled. Pale golden beer with a fine, steadily rising head. Strong rice aroma and flavour. The first sniff and taste of this beer send you reaching immediately for the details on the bottle. ‘Rice’ stands out proudly on the bottom of the label. Not a great larger but at least they're not hiding the fact they use adjuncts. Low bitterness and a distinct lack of malt and hops.

Mar 6, 2002 I bought this beer just for the fun of it - shipping beer all the way from China to Norway seems like the ultimate absurdity, if the beer isn’t something extraordinary. This beer isn’t. But Tsingtao is not outright bad either - it just isn’t very interesting. Heineken-like aroma, neutral flavour, overly carbonated, no lasting head. Sure it would be refreshing on a summer’s day in China - exporting it to Europe should be considered a waste of resources.

Jul 31, 2004 Not a fan of most lagers...pours as expected...thin white head, nice and yellow :/ Skunky aroma with a hit of hops...MILDLY refreshing...it does go quite well with General Tsao’s chicken though...
