Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma of corn and sweet malts. Next to no flavor, some corn and whatnot, but yet another mass-produced lager that is way too abundant in the world.

I had low expectations, but was pleasently surprised. There is definitely something going on with the rice in there. Clean hoppy taste with light maltiness. I was thirsty when I drank it so it barely touched the sides as it were.

Bottle. Pours a lovely pale gold with a very small and ephemeral head. After just a couple of seconds I’m wondering if it was even ever there. Aromas of skunky hops assault me from a distance and closer inspection confirms that these are burying any other odors except for a few whiffs of apple juice that are scurrying for the exit doors. Flavor is poor... a bit of apple juice, some adjuncty-lagery malt and those damn hops seem to have fled while the getting was good. I’m not sure about this "spring water from Laoshan." I don’t really know if it added anything, and I’m begining to think it might be a simple marketing trick... Even so, if they handed these out for free at work I’d probably drink another.

J’aime la culture chinoise, insi leur nouriture (la vrai), mais cette bière. Ça goût le totalitarisme, comme leur gouvernement avec un arome de capitalisme.

Bottle (thanks mom!). Clear pale golden color with a medium, very bubbly, white head that diminishes fast. Aroma is quite grainy with some corn notes and faint hoppy hints. Sweet flavor of cereals, some creamed corn and really light bitterness in the finish. Light-bodied.

Bottle 0,33l. Clear golden coloured. A pretty white lasting head. Hoppy notes. Sweet flavour and no bitterness. An OK lager.
