Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Pours a golden yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is skunky. Flavor is a little hoppy and kind of weak.

12 oz bottle via Cost Plus World Market. Pours a clear golden blodne with almost no head. Nose is typical ’green body light stuck’ but not yet skunked. Taste is typical pale lager..ie bland with some malts and hops in there somewhere, and some grassiness. High carbonation. Light body. Thin mouthfeel. Watery. I would say this is a pale lager not a Premium Lager. As a Pale lager it is not bad. As a Premium lager, it is not good.

Bought this in a 22 oz green bottle, Poured very nicelly into the glass quite an impressive head for a lager beer..went down a bit but still nice. Good golden colour. Smells pretty good too some malt light hops. Taste however is pretty average..its not bad but its hardly good. Feels light in the mouth and its drinkable..I bought this to go along with the Szechuan chicken i prepared at home..it does a good job with this spicy dish

decent lager, a bit sour, but decent nonetheless. Over the Summer I busted out the 22 ounce at a party and people thought I was weird. Id like to taste a really good chinese beer one day.

i have never noticed a bad aroma around this beer. this is a very good beer when pared with certain foods. it has a pleasant fruit taste and is clean and refreshing. it even has a bit of body to it. you could drink this by itself... on a hot day. moderate bubbles. not bad at all. bit of a hidden bite on the tip of the tongue.

Very very pale in color, hardly any color as a matter of fact. Aroma has a grassy sourness to it. Mouthfeel is watery and a bit light on the carbonation. A bit sour. Not offensive but not good; just like most beers of this style.

Chinese Pilsner? Need I say more? Drink it if it’s the only thing that you can get at the local Chinese restaurant.

Straw color, thin head. Bland but not bad. A microscopic trace of fruityness and a little bit of hops. Thankfully, not a trace of skunkiness unlike other imported pilsners.
