Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

From bottle. Strong smell of farts as I opened the bottle, very strong yeasty aroma. Very clear yellow uirne like appearance. No head, high carb. Sweet, noty as gassy as expected, like water with a hint of lager flavour. Typical lager after taste. Did the job after work.

Gold body, white foamy head. Smells of malt and rice. Very carbonated, rather bland taste. Only shows some skunked malts. Decent lager. Sampled in Beijing, China.

Pale yellow body with a small white head. Avarage aroma and flavor of a lager beer. Some sweet taste, some grassy bitterness, so an avarage beer from the other side of the world. But we have thousands of boring lagers, why was that beer delivered to Europe? The market is not enough in China.... Or what?

Thin nasty looking brew. Not a good aroma. The most disturbing thing that I heard is that they add a little formeldahyde to preserve the flavor. The bottle I had was dusty in a green glass and tasted as fresh as the day it was brewed. YOu draw your own conclusions.

Pours pale clear yellow, Large medium-dense white foam head. Just a little bubbling. Aroma is good a skunky at first like a nice pilsenser, but then closer inspection reveals sharp corn malt to the nose. Tastes like sweet sugar water with trace amounts of malt and hops mixed in maybe somewhere, but hard to detect.. Palate is a little tingly. Finish is a little harsh. Tastes much better in shenzhen.

Drank quite a bit of this in Shanghai and Hong Kong and it wasn’t bad at all. Crisp, clean flavor with mild hops and some malts. Body is a bit thin, but that actually adds to its drinkability. Was incredibly fresh. I imagine it’s not nearly as good outside of China due to the green bottle, but if you can find it fresh it’s a pretty respectable macro lager.

330ml green bottle from my dad. produced on 09/08/08, consumed on 16/11/08. pours pale yellow with some white head that reduces to a ring. soft carbonation. aroma: sweet grain and rice, cotton candy flavour: sweet, a touch of grainy malt, almost nothing to this one mouthfeel: thin and uninprired drinkability: i wouldnt say know to a free one but not something id ever purchase, not off flavour other then overly sweet

Pale yellow with an aroma of grass and tea. Taste is same but lightly sweet, and watery.
