I’ve been experimenting with various Asian beers lately for a party I’m throwing and definitely will not be offering this one to my guests. Nothing special here. madsberg (5050), Søborg, Denmark

Flavour is hoppy and a bit sweet. Dosn’t have much bitterness for a pilsener. Very refreshing. JoeMcPhee (5025), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 16, 2005 (bottle) Clear yellow/straw colour with a medium frothy white head. Weak malty aroma, slightly skunky. Sweetish flavour, medium body, somewhat crispy mouthfeel. Starts a bit sweetmalty turning into a low and short hoppy, slightly perfumed finish. This one is not that bad and I can imagine to have it with tasty/spicy (southern) chinese food, but I would prefer a sweet Riesling wine with a well-balanced sweetness-acidity proportion from Germany or Austria….and believe me or not: my best friend I had in the Kindergarten near Frankfurt/Main (greetings to Udo Krick !) is one of the grandsons of the founder of the brewery during Germanys former colonial times.
