As far as generic country lagers go, this is definitely at or near the top of my list. Good slightly warm too, great for what it is. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Things get better with a tempting hop/grain aroma and vague lemon ice cream. Smooth, clean palate features perfect carbonation for this beer style. Light flavoured, though not distasteful with some hops and a creamy light-malt finish. Not bad for a cookie-cutter macro lager. Duke (117), New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2004 Didn't seem hoppy enough to be a pils but it did have more flavor than I expected. No head. Aroma is minimal, grassy. Not bad with the Chinese food. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Would most definitly take this over any of the cheaper american macros. Very refreshing and wouldnt complain drinkin this when offered. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Tsingtao is another lager that falls victim to the dreaded green bottle. Because of said bottle it is no surprise to discover that the aroma is primarily skunky. Once I got past the skunkyness it smelt kind of sweet with some yeast and grain. After the dissapointing appearance and aroma the flavour was a nice surprise, it was nowhere as bad as I thought it would be, especially after reading some of the (overly) harsh reviews of it here. Sweet with a touch of hops and caramel, it goes down easy and is quite enjoyable. I’m surprised to say that I would actually get this again. Keeper (164), Milano, Italy

Flavour is expected, slightly sweet with some corn notes. Mouth clears fast, great alternative to brown ales for food pairing. [ching dao, if you are wondering]
