Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

I was gonna wait ti I went to a Chinese restaurant, but it was on sale. As far as generic country lagers go, this is definitely at or near the top of my list. Good slightly warm too, great for what it is.

Pretty much a typical light lager, crisp and clean with a medium hoppy bite. Went well with my General Tso’s chicken.

Bottle. Horrible pissy light-yellow appearance a poor first impression. Things get better with a tempting hop/grain aroma and vague lemon ice cream. Smooth, clean palate features perfect carbonation for this beer style. Light flavoured, though not distasteful with some hops and a creamy light-malt finish. Not bad for a cookie-cutter macro lager.

Didn't seem hoppy enough to be a pils but it did have more flavor than I expected. No head. Aroma is minimal, grassy. Not bad with the Chinese food.

A descent beer. Its got some hops which certainly helps out a flavor. Would most definitly take this over any of the cheaper american macros. Very refreshing and wouldnt complain drinkin this when offered.

Bottle. Pours a clear flat light gold with a huge diminishing white head. Tsingtao is another lager that falls victim to the dreaded green bottle. Because of said bottle it is no surprise to discover that the aroma is primarily skunky. Once I got past the skunkyness it smelt kind of sweet with some yeast and grain. After the dissapointing appearance and aroma the flavour was a nice surprise, it was nowhere as bad as I thought it would be, especially after reading some of the (overly) harsh reviews of it here. Sweet with a touch of hops and caramel, it goes down easy and is quite enjoyable. I’m surprised to say that I would actually get this again.

I Thought that it was much worse. This beer is much light one, from the light body, nearly deprives of stuttura. Drinkable

Golden body. Nose is classic lager yeast and sweet corn notes. Flavour is expected, slightly sweet with some corn notes. Mouth clears fast, great alternative to brown ales for food pairing. [ching dao, if you are wondering]
