Jan 10, 2008 Nice clean aroma, not too sure about the purported hoppiness though. The length of the journey probably doesn’t help. The flavour is initially soft, balanced and surprisingly fresh but develops an unpleasant industrial edge at the finish, probably due to the use of rice. Thin body. Ok for a light lager, but considering the air miles to quality ratio, I don’t see why people would drink this beer.

Jul 3, 2007 Pales a very pale golden colour, with no head and a white ring. Aroma of malts. Flavour of malt, malt, a little dash of hops, and malt. Nothing offensive really. Just really malty. Refreshing i suppose, goes alright with strong flavoured foods. But there are much much better beers out there.

Apr 17, 2007 Bouteille. 4.5% ABV. Couleur or pâle et clair, mousse s’estompe rapidement. Arome faible d’houblon et de grain. Gout doux et rafraichissant, encore ici faible, de houblon et de grain. Effervescence moyen corps faible, arrière-gout presque absent. Correct, mais rien à dire de plus.

Mar 5, 2007 The aroma is a little stale and like an old shoe and the pour is very pale. However the beer if very smooth and has a very nice flavor. It should be higher rated than Tequiza thats for sure.

Oct 18, 2007 Pours no head with a white frothy rim over a lager-gold body. Smells of dead grass, dirt, and malty grains. Flavors include more dirt, cardboard, and a strange finish that suggests white rice. Sweet upfront and rice-y body all-around. Medium carbonation/body. A little flat for the style. I’m not a big fan of lagers, but this was OK.

May 16, 2007 Bottle: I sometimes order this instead of Sapporo Black Label at my favorite Sushi restaurant. One day I ordered Sapporo and then Tsing Tao and the waitress was offended and asked what was wrong with the Sapporo. This beer has a pleasing taste with a good heartiness and good carbonation. It is good to cleanse the palate with a plate of sushi.
