Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Well, this was a lot better than I thought it would be. It wasn’t awesome, but it wasn’t awful either. The aroma was kind of boring, lightly hoppy, and the appearance was pretty aveagerage for a pilsner (decent color and clarity, as well as a decent head and lace). The flavor I thought was actually very pleasant. I even liked the slightly ricey aftertaste. I was most impressed with the mouthfeell and how it complemented my dish so well (Orange beef with fried rice). It’s definitely not a beer that I’ll have cravings for but I can seeing myself getting it again once and a while.

This beer was good. Nothing really stuck out to me about it. Its one of the few beers that i’ve had from that side of the world and it among the best of them.

Almost an american premium style. Slight sweet malt with a sweet noble hop finish. A beer well suited for chop suey.

Much like a traditional pilsner. It has a bit of metallic aroma.

330ml green bottle from Safeway. Poured a clear amber nicely carbonated with white qd head. Fruity rice aroma with hops note. Nicely balanced crisp light lager flavour. No chemical or metallic flavours& no skunk despite the green bottle. Very long bitter finish. Nice& refreshing.

Bottle. Light honey body with no head. Nose-sweet adjuncty skunk. Taste-mildly sweet, not a big adjunct taste, no skunk. This beer is not surprising in what it has, it is surprising in what it is missing-no burnt plastic, corn, rice, skunk, or bitter taste. Very mild with just the right amount of sweetness. SURPRISINGLY good!

If you like German pilsner’s, this isn’t a bad try. To me it tasted exactly like Warsteiner. Not as bad as I expected and definitely drinkable, it’s just sort of weird that most of the Asian countries have adopted German pilsners as their representative beers.
