Commercial Description:
Tsingtao Beer has a pleasant aroma and a well-balanced taste. It has high-malty flavor and well-hopped character. Tsingtao is produced with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water. The domestically-grown hops used to brew Tsingtao are of such high quality that they are also exported to European breweries. Tsingtao also uses the finest yeast and barley imported from Australia and Canada in its brewing process.

Poured a bright yellow with no head to speak of. Aroma was weak. Serviceable as a palate cleanser, had it with a dim sum lunch. Made a nice team with my glass of water and cup of tea.

Bottle. LIght yellow with quickly fading head. Vegetable and sweet malt but very weak aroma. Waterly, some fruit, but not much more. Short finish. Goes well with oily, spicy or salty Chinese food.

Nothing special about this one. Yellowish clear color. Aroma is of malts, rice, a slight skinked flavor, and stale hops. Flavor is the same. Thank god I don’t have to drink this again.

33cl bottle, local store. Pours clear very pale yellow color, very fast fading thin white head. Aroma is very faint, sweet malty i´d say. Flavour reminds me of cardboard and some cheap white wine with a slight bitterness in the finish. Odd taste in mouth afterwards. Overall not as bad as one could think from the points IMO.

I’ve had a few Asian lagers and many have some redeeming quality. Not this one. Pretty awful skunk aroma, skunk flavor, watery mouthfeel. Offensive.

Pours clear pale yellow with a white frothy head. Aromas of grains and sugar, maybe a small amount of hops. The flavor is very mild with cereal grains being the most notable. This beer was actually much better than I anticipated it to be.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden body with a white head. Adjunctive with some light vegetative notes, grain, and some light floral notes. An easy session ale that paired well with Tai.

Bottle, given to me.....FREE...... I drank half of it, just weak with little to no taste. I have become a beer snob I am told.

12oz bottle at a Chinese restaurant. Golden color, no surprise there. It didn’t have much smell in the glass at all. The flavor was surprisingly better than average with a fruitiness that I was not expecting from a macro Chinese lager. Great beer to pair with hot and sour soup.
