Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoe’s. Reddish brown colour with a little head. Light aroma of malt, roastedness, and chocolate. Flavour of hops, citrus, and some roastedness. Ends up a little metalic.
Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 2, 2008 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet and very roasted combined with notes of pumpernickel bread as well as hints of brewmash. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and toffee as well as a light notes of metal from the alcohol, leading to a dry bitter and slightly roasted finish. Hoppy. Flavour is light spiced and fruity with a subdued malt base. Light hoppy citrusy note. Ends with a light bitterness and a mild fruity note.
