Blind tasting at Papsoe’s. Reddish brown colour with a little head. Light aroma of malt, roastedness, and chocolate. Flavour of hops, citrus, and some roastedness. Ends up a little metalic.

Apr 2, 2008 Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet and very roasted combined with notes of pumpernickel bread as well as hints of brewmash. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and toffee as well as a light notes of metal from the alcohol, leading to a dry bitter and slightly roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for hauling this home from NZ.

Mar 26, 2008 From bottle, 7B Papsoes New Zealand vs US blind tasting. Pours dark amber with a lacing off-white head. Malty aroma, subdued fruit note. Hoppy. Flavour is light spiced and fruity with a subdued malt base. Light hoppy citrusy note. Ends with a light bitterness and a mild fruity note.
