Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours orangy - yellow body colour with hazy to cloudy texture, carbonation is quite high and intensive, head is creamy white, frothy to creamy, very strong, long lasting and with very good lacing, head is initially huge and decreases and colapses
to medium after a long period of time.
Aroma: Slightly accidic, wheat and yeast are pronounced but gentle and not strong in intensity as compared to ’Tucher Heffeweizen Helles’, some notes of banana, clove and a hint of citrus like lemon or orange peal but not that intensive.
Flavour: Mineral water, slightly bready, no sweetness, watered whipped cream, yeasts, slightly grainy touch of wheat and barley origin with a hint of banana, slightly toasted grains, some vegetable hints, onion like. Finish duration is average, little note of rubber.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is slightly creamy, very smooth, reminding a Mild Ale a bit, carbonation on palate is mild, a bit too watered down, finish feel is creamy, mineral and generally neutral.
leaparsons (3878), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 16, 2008 Bottle. Hazy bronze with a dense off-white head. Aromas are sweet toffee and rye with light banana and citrus. Flavours are soapy with citrus. Not as malty as the aroma suggest. Soda water with metal. Not good for a beer but very good for a low alcohol brew. TBone (4924), Pori, Finland Apr 19, 2008 Bottled (BB 03/2008)
Slightly hazy golden-orange color, big cloudy off-white head. Sweetish rye-malt/mash aroma, typical for non alcos. Watery palate. Some banana fruity notes, but otherwise typical mash-rye-rubber combination with some cardboard flavors, they are so common in these NAs. Hints of grass in the finish. Rye-flavors are toasted or perhaps more like toasted banana. Kind of ok for low alco, not annoying and kind of refreshing. Not much weissbier though. austone (305), Turku; Pori, Finland Feb 26, 2008 Pours nice tanned hefeweizen. Nose is wheaty with some rye, didn’t get much bananas. Flavor quite simple, rye porridge with some earthy notes. Moutheel a bit watery and thin bodied with high levels of carbonation. But I guess all that’s just good when your thirsty.
