changeup45 (567), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 Sampled on tap, this is a new Brown Ale that’s been introduced by Tuckerman brewing. I thought it was pretty good. Brown, copper tinted Ale, balanced malt aroma. Flavor is rich malts, semi sweet with a slightly bitter hop finish. Rich malts jump out at first but the rest is fairly mild, leaving for a little bit of a thin mouthfeel. I’d get it again.
SpringsLicker (1817), Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one.
Dark brown, ruby tinged body that throws up an off-white head.
Leathery malt aroma.
Sweet overall with some sourness that leads to a tangy finish. Shag (1770), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 A dark brown appearance with a beige head. The aroma contains some nutmeg, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is a bit dry with some caramel, chocolate with a nutty presence. This seems more like a brown than any alt Ive had but it was pretty good anyway. cbeers21 (384), Miami, Florida, USA Jul 3, 2008 Thin brown pour with no head, looks like a coke. Juicier bodied brew with toasted malts and caramel and vanilla touch. Dusty malty fruit character, with a souring, quiet finish. Decent brew. stangger (106), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 7, 2008 The poor man’s (maybe average man’s...) Jackie Brown, with less aroma and taste. puboflyons (374), New Hampshire, USA May 25, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with am expiration date of September. Presumably this is September 2008. Pours dark brown with a little ruby red mixed in. But it mostly brown. There is a beige, creamy head that stays around for a while. Aroma of cocoa, malts, and hops. Feels bold in the mouth. I can notice some hops in the flavor but it is not overpowering at all. Overall it comes across as crisp and clean. This was a nice brew.
