Tucks Doppelbock

On tap at the Tuck’s brewery. This was a really nice doppelbock, very strong although i’m not sure about the ABV, with bold malts, big smokiness to it along with a slight caramel taste up front. Medium bodied and very well balanced.

Dark for a doppel, more like an eastern european porter/lager; carbon dioxide, plums and cola on the nose. Fairly nice malt profile, with a balanced amount of munich and roasted malt, maybe leaning a little too far in the direction of generic cola and coffee but still good.
