Commercial Description:
Stout lovers come back again and again, drinking and attempting to describe what it is that makes our stout so pleasantly different. Our guarded recipe makes for a memorable stout experience. We know what makes it so great, and we aren't telling. It took us 4 years of development to make it this good. Ask for a pint and try to figure it out for yourself.

First how great of a name is this. I wondered if its either radioactive or uses wormwood? Anyways dark, alcoholic, and great on nitro tap.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet combined with a strong acidity with a storng note of alcohol - is this firewater trying to kill a foreigner? The flavo ris sweet and acidic malty, leading to an acidic dry finish.

black with no head at all, probably because it was from the cask. taste is of chocolate and molasses. overall, the beer was not very tastey compared to other imperial stouts i have had in the past. I doubt that it was 13% but if it was i am amazed.

from the cask at tugboat. pours a jet black with no head at all, though bubbles do occasionally make their way up from the abyss, giving a sort of black lava look. light cocoa and huge molasses nose, with notes of black cherry filling it out. very estery taste, with the cocoa coming out more, but still a ton of molasses taste. no hint of hops or alcohol whatsoever. i almost doubt the advertised 13%; it wasn’t even warming. lightly sweet finish, no bitterness to speak of, weird thin watery mouthfeel that doesn’t go well with its rather full body. decent tasting, if you like fruity, molassesy stouts (which i kind of don’t), but the insipid palate makes this a no-go for me.

Pours a dark, rich black ike soy sauce. No head and undercarbonated. Smells like rubbing alcohol with funk of moldy cheese and sweatsocks. Flavor is harsh alcohol and serious infection. Very disappointing and a rare beer that I had to pour out.

Draft. Blackish beer with an off-white head. Malty, chocolate, roasty aroma. Chocolate, rich malt flavor. Medium body - lighter than expected. Lingering malt, caramel, chocolate, with some hops showing.

Neep abyssmal opaque hue. No head. No alcohol in nose, sweet and roasty. Slightly chocolate and liquorish on the tongue with hints of smoke and candy in the finish. Good beer brewed in a Rubbermaid system. Nice!
