Commercial Description:
This ale mimics the distinctive lagers of the Czech Republic. Our Czech Bitter has quite a following due to its unique characteristics. Its balanced golden body allows room for the imported Saaz hops to smartly bully this ale. Few breweries in the country use the Saaz hop, due to its sketchy availability. If you have been "over there", come visit over here, reminisce and bring your thirst.

on tap at tugboat. you have to hand it to them for inventing a new style of beer. alas it was pretty stale with just a faint dandelion aroma and bare minimum of tinny bitterness

Tap@Tugboat. Czeck bitter? well OK. This was OK i suppose, but it tasted a little stale. Dry and hoppy saaz, a little floral, and another odd flavour, but i couldn’t put my finger on it. A little stale.

Draft: Litte citrus fruit nose. Orange yellow color. Distinct brewers bitter signature. Citrus lemon/ grapefruit with some malt. Clean, bitter, and dry. Very drinkable.

A lovely golden color, slightly cloudy, with a thin white head. Nice mild hop aroma present. This was a lovely bitter , with a balanced profile from front to back. Not as over the top as some of their beers, this is a truely solid beer, and a definate session candidate.
