on tap-pours a fizzy tan head that reduces. Black color with red tint and effervescence. Aroma is sweet, malt. Taste is sweet, malt, chocolate and slight alcohol. Not my taste but a nice sipping beer.

Thanks to Weeare138 for sharing this growler with us at the weekly gathering. Pour is of a dark ruby red- almost black- slight hazy but almost impossible to tell due to the color. Aroma has a chocolate covered cherry quality to it. Very light roasted malts, more chocolate in the flavor, light caramel malts, some nutty malts and a light astringency from the cherries in the end. Cherries provide a nice subtleness and do not overpower or contradict anything. Pretty good.

Thanks to weeare138 for bringing this growler along to a weekly tasting. Pours a dark ,dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate...actually it was a good bit of chocolate. Kind of like you walked into the Hershey Chocolate plant. Also picked up some light coffee. Flavors was also chocolate, cherries, some vanilla and alcohol.

Thanks to my man, Zeke for picking this up... Appears a thick black with a red hue and a small tan head. Decent streaks of lacing left around the glass. Smell is of chocolate malt with some roasted coffee beans and a cherry background, along with bitter cocoa and mild oaky notes. Taste is of the described aromas listed above with the right amount of flavors coming through. Not cloyingly sweet. Mouthfeel is smoothly warm and of mild roasty notes with the chocolate and cherry swirling around the palate

Tasted from growler courtesy of weeare138. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized tan head. Aromas of chocolate, cheries, and roast. Tastes of stronger chocolate, lighter cherries, and roast. Somewhat bitter. Alcohol well hidden. Light lacing left on the glass.

Poured a dark mahogany color with a small, tan, creamy head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, cherries, and a faint roastiness. Taste of cinnamon, cherries, sweet chocolate, vanilla beans, and a dry, roasty, finish. No hint of the 8.5% here.
