12oz bottle-pours a light tan head an amber color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, citrus hops. Taste is balanced medium malt-caramel, citrus hops-floral/mild bitterness. Nice easy drinking. OK/mild carbonation.

Poured with a nice head and great lacing. Flavor was had wonderful balance and just the right amount of hoppiness. Similar in quality to their Hop Pocket Pils which I also like. Solid beer.

12 oz bottle

I think this came from a recent trade with OhioDad though I can’t say for sure. Thanks to whomever sent it though - it was a nice change of pace from high gravity beers like Imperial Stouts and Double IPAs. My palate has been craving something simpler and lighter, which is exactly what this is. While it did not earn a very high score I would still drink this on a regular basis if it survives the demise of Old Dominion. It makes a nice session beer for drinking during basketball or sitting on the porch.

Aroma / Appearance - A one finger offwhite head floated over the top of a bronze body in which carbonation bubbled up at a steady rate. The aromas of resin, grapefruit and caramel form the core of the bouquet but there is also the scent of cheap hot chocolate and white bread lurking in the background.

Flavor / Palate - A resiny sensation took over the senses from the first sip. It was almost as if I was attempted to eat pine sap on top of buttered white toast. Further inspection revealed caramel, waxy chocolate (like the kind in most candy bars at the checkout aisle of the local grocery store), orange rinds and tea leaves. The finish was a mixture of tangerines and peaches with a lingering bitterness. Overall there was a nice balance so while this did not blow me away it left me satisfied. This would make a nice fallback beer for those times when you want some easy to drink.

Has a decent hop aroma more grassy than anything. an almost English taste to it. a little too much carbonation. Dry finish.

i got this for nostalgia’s sake. i had this first at summit’s (obviously when it was still open) way back in 2003, i think. it was before i became a hophead so i thought it was the most bitter thing on earth. now, i don’t find it terribly hoppy but rather soothing. not overpowering just a subtle bit of hops at first but the more you drink, the hoppier it becomes. gotta love that

Bottle received via trade with shp555. Pours clear amber with a small frothy off-white head, somewhat diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (cereal, meal), heavy hops (citrus, pine), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of honey. Medium bodied, gritty texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

A bottle from Ty5592 An orange amber pour. A light hoppy aroma which is adaquate for the style. A light maltiness that blends well with hops to make this a good drinker. Not a thin beer not a fizzer good palate. A very good APA. Thanks Ty

This is a solid, hoppy beer. It pours a cloudy light amber color, settling a darker medium amber hue with a white crown. Fully diminishing over a hazy body with no lacing. Aroma is strictly perfume hops. Initially, it is lightly bitter, but it cranks up to a sharp bitter finish with a long duration which is much appreciated. Thin bodied, it has a dry texture and soft carbonation. Reviewed in November, 2006.
