Commercial Description:
Tuppers’ Hop Pocket Pils is made via a complex hopping schedule which includes dry hopping for weeks over whole-flower Saaz and Mt. Hood hops. Also used are Saaz, Mittelfruh, Spalt and Mt. Hood in the kettle. The beer is bottled and keg conditioned which provides very fine carbonation and a fine head.

Pours an effervescent pale golden with a fluffy/fizzy white head. Strong grassy saaz hop aroma... aggressive and enticing. Taste is mild corn and bitter grass, with a slightly dry yet rather clean afteraste. Not quite as deep in flavor as it is in aroma. Very nice pilsener.

12 oz. bottle. Crystal clear golden hue, slowly dissolving bubbly head. Good mouthfeel, not too thin like many "pilseners." Nice floral hop aroma and flavor with just the right dry finish I expect.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with jeffin7, thanks Jeff!) Like Victory Prima Pils, this is another hoppy pilsener that I used to dislike years ago because it was too bitter, but now find fairly pleasant. The nose is lightly bready, balanced by a soft, citrusy hoppiness. And again in the flavor, bready malt and tart, citrusy hops are in nice balance. Light bodied, perfectly carbonated, clean from the start, and there’s a nice crispness in the finish. Pale straw in color and somewhat cloudy, but the white head is something else! Rises tall enough that I can’t pour the entire bottle of beer into my pint glass, and it takes several minutes to shrink, becoming extremely rocky in the process. Intricate ice crystal lacing fully covers the glass. Pretty nice pilsener, but then again, I’ve gotten more used to drinking hoppy beers now that I live on the west coast.

Aroma was abit skunky and bitter. Murky yellow body with white head some lace left on glass. Flavor is consistant with most Pilsners bitter and somewhat metalic. Good beer belch on the finsh.

Bottled. Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head and very heavy carbonation. A very hoppy pilsner with a very bitter flavor and finish. An excellent beer.

Really nice hops in this beer. I’m not a big fan of "pilsener beers" but I liked this. Felt closer to a good pale ale than a pilsner. This beer rocked my palate.

One of the best pilsners I’ve ever had. I don’t think that it is better than the hop pocket ale but "apples and oranges". This beer reminds a lot of great lakes dortmunder gold.

A nice keller pils style, it poured a very pale gold, slightly hazy with floaters, and rendered a frothy, long lasting white head that left decent lace as it ebbed. Aroma was neither sweet nor malty, as expected, rater herbal, hoppy, and earthy with alcohol, straw and fungal notes. The lengthy dry-hopping was evident as this is a bitter, herbal, earthy tasting beer. Quite refreshing. Nice mouthfeel.
