Aroma is pine and light fresh malt. Hops are evident in the aroma and in the flavor. The flavor is very light and somewhat lemony. Refreshing best describes it. On the palate it is light but crisp the finish is a little dry but very refreshing. Pilsners are not my favorite style usually they lack something. Not this one though. It moves to the top of the class for me. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2005 From a bottle. Cloudy light orange color with a nice thick white head. Aroma reminds me of pine and fresh bread. Hops apparent in the aroma as well but not so much as to dominate your nose. Wow! Great tasting Pilsner. Lemony, grassy, great hop finish. I’ve never been a big fan of pilsners but I’m a fan of this! wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Finland
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 22, 2005 12 oz bottle, pils glass, bottle conditioned. Short, firm, egg-white head diminishes slowly and sticks well. Light white gold to a fresh peach-yellow color. Poured a bit too much out of the bottle and got some yeasties, but...my fault. Huge warm bread aroma, fresh hay, and biscuit and honey goodness on the malt front. There might be a bit of diacytel in this one, but it’s really hard to tell and I’ve never noticed it before. Herbal, floral and spicy hops. The yeast seems to contribute a sour note in the aroma conjuring images of...pears, I think. I really like what goes on in the aroma. There are some components which I don’t think belong in a proper Pilsener...but, hedonistically, I likey. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter flavor becomes a lightly sweet, heavily bitter finish. There’s a bit of sour acidity which fades in and out. Might not even be present if I poured the damn thing right. The finish is fairly clean and dry. Medium-light body, soft/creamy texture, lively carbonation. Ah...excellent mouthfeel. Very little residual sugar/sweetness but still a soft and creamy texture. The bottom line is: perfect example of a pils? No no no. Damn good beer in the theme of the style? Yes yes yes. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA

Poured a medium, hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of strong straw, grasses, flowers and light citrus. Tastes of spices, straw, and lemons. Very good pilsner. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2005 bottle-june 04 bottle date-pours a nice golden yellow with a huge white fluffy head. aggressive carbonation. aroma of lemongrass, hay, spicy hops and a slight metallic note. this beer smells similar to sierra blanca pils with a touch less grassy. flavors of lemongrass, sweet pils malt and a long spicy hop finish. very quaffible. palate is medium to light. metallic flavors are somewhat detracting, but dissipate after the beer warms. This pils is one of the better out there-i would rank it 3rd under prima pils and sierra blanca. THanks to Kinz for the bottle Probiere (992), Iowa, USA

Great balance between floral Saazy hops and spiciness--really the hop balance is what’s doing it for me. The malt is perfectly tailored but so nondescript I don’t have many words to describe it. This was a treat! Thank you to....I wanna say it was TAR and cb? jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
