Very white head is wispy and ephemeral Aroma is freshly floral, herbal and tingling with spiciness. Nicely creamy, yet aggressive with the hops and grainy, grassy flavors. This is an incredibly easy pilsner to like, one of the best I’ve had from the bottle.

Aroma of zesty spices and lemon, almost like a witbier. Flavor is clean and light, but pleasant and very drinkable. Hop profile is moderately bitter, and the finish is dry and sweet. Nice pils. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 11, 2004 Mine poured slightly cloudy because I wasn’t careful not to disturb the yeast--oh well. I guess this is a good thing because bottle conditioning is a sign of a brewer who really cares about their craft and is willing to let their beer spend extra time at the brewery despite the added expense. As per the commercial description, it does lead to a nice, tight head of fine bubbles. The nose is mostly hoppy but subdued. I’m getting a lot grassy (in a good way) European hops as well as citric American-type hop character. It sort of reminds me of a Dortmunder in this respect--a very good thing in my book. Carbonation is very frisky, assertive almost to the point of being obnoxious but not quite. Light bodied and quite refreshing but still flavorful enough to satisfy anyone with an open enough mind to enjoy these pale lager styles. And to me, this beer holds a clinic on why lighter styles can be some of the most satisfying for the discriminating geek. It’s got enough flavor to keep things interesting but it’s devastatingly drinkable. Mine’s going to be gone in less than fifteen minutes without me even thinking about it or trying. Damn. I want more. willblake (2181), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Don’t know when this stuff started showing up in NJ, but I’m not sad about it. Pale straw with some hazy clouding and a big, fluffy, white head. Pure lemongrass aroma with hints of fresh grains and banana pepper. Not much visible eff. Fresh and sharp flavors. Brisk, refresing, crisp citrus and bell pepper. Very enjoyable brew. Pleasant hop aroma, flowery and kind of fruity. Pale golden color, thick white head. Clean flavor, pale malt, noble hops, solid bitterness - nothing more, nothing less. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Wonderful example of the style, pure malt and hops.
