Enormous head that seems to be taking forever to disapate. Medium haze in a yellow/orange body. Tastes lemony and sweet with a stronger hop presence in the finish. Great pils. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 14, 2004 Green-tinged pale yellow with tiny swimming particles. Slightly rocky, wispy, sticky bright white head. Mixture of grassy, perfumey hop aromas and wet hay. Refined balance between the airiness and tight, underlying spiciness. Bubbly, fluffy carbonation. Fairly fuzzy. Starts with lemony hops which move toward a zestier quality at center stage. Lemon cake comes in alongside meaty pilsner malt hulls and melon traces. Underlying notes of dough and powdery malt textures. Finishes appetizingly dry, yet full, with a cottony backdrop, Fuji apple acidity, and lingering peppery, chewy hop bitterness. Overall, a gorgeous hop nose to go along with these delicate malt and flowery touches. Another reason why the world needs more bottle-conditioned, unfiltered pilsners. Textbook example. Aroma is dry and hoppy with a subtle touch of pale malt and maize. Starts lightly sweet and hoppy turning to a semi-dry, crisp finish. Nice, fresh, European hoppy balance throughout. A crisp, clean, enjoyable pils. Thanks TAR for the bottle! happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2004 Clear yellow body, large white creamy head with good lacing and long lasting. Crisp lemon apple aroma with very light bread. Orange-lemon herb type of flavor (corriander) and a dry finish. Decent palate... not too watery, and carbonation is fairly soft. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 1, 2004 I can’t get Victory Prima Pils anymore, but this a worthy substitute. Light yellow, straw like color, pour with a thick white head. To me the Saaz is the dominating flavor with some slight sweetness that creaps in. Dry finish, excellent pils. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Setting: cask conditioned at the brewpub.
Appearance: Hazy straw yellow topped by a lazy white head, which receded to a slight film and a bubbly ring. Little was left in the way of lacing.
Aroma: Exquisite aromas of Saaz hops with some nice light malty goodness.
Flavor: Light pale malt sweetness followed by crisp herbalicious hoppiness. Exquisite pils.
Palate: Nice, light bodied beer. Very crisp and refreshing.
Overall: This sucker screams session beer. Very nummy. Not quite as hoppy as Prima Pils, but still darn hoppy for the style. jzzbassman (852), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
