| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 1, 2004 bright caution-light yellow, with-- no suprise-- a big classic, fresh lager merangue white head. chunky crud within like undissolved soap granules in the washing machine. aroma likewise is bright-- fruitiness suggesting gewurztraminer grapes, a tablespoon of minced pine needles and spearmint, sugar cookies and bubbling yeast. lively carbonation awakens the tongue and drenches it with an apparent mixture of white wine and quinine bitter tonic water. nice balance-- woody, very lightly sweet, honey and sopapia, corn husk grain flavors entangling with pine and citrus nectars. an aggressive offering in a style known for demure and refined subtlety-- it's an imperial pils! Highly hopped but primarily malt character with an excellent citric edge along the lines of Czech pilsners. I like this. beerguy101 (3907), Newark, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2003 Golden yellow color. Medium head. Aroma is floral hops and citrusy. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. This is a hoppy beer for a pilsner; it definitely has some flavor and some bite to it. There is a touch of tartness/sourness that while unexpected, is still rather pleasant. A nice, easy drinking, refreshing pilsner. It looks like a fizzy yellow beer, but its not. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Smooth beer, with a pleasing light hoppiness balanced by a faint maltiness. A refreshing, lightly bitter aftertaste. Linc (736), Sydney, Australia

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2003 Gold color, shiny and metallic looking but nice sized zesty head and light creamy lacing. Aroma is delicate with its mix of european biscuity malt and noble hops. Flavor is rich for a pils and has just the right amount of flavors so you can still taste it even after a 6-pack. Very well done! haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
